Sade Adu (prononcé Chadé Adou), de son véritable nom Helen Folasade Adu, (née le 16 janvier 1959 à Ibadan au Nigeria) est une chanteuse/compositrice de musique et paroles Soul/Jazzy du groupe Sade. Elle est naturalisée britannique. Ses influences artistiques et musicales sont Curtis Mayfield, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Al Green, Marvin Gaye et Aretha Franklin. Le groupe à été crée en 1983 avec un style R&B, Soul, Jazz, funk et Soft Rock.
